The first station of the 13th "Zhu Rong Award" Lighting Application Design Competition of CBD was successfully held in Hangzhou.
The lighting application design competition "Zhu Rong Award" started in 2008 and was hosted by China Building Decoration Association and Zhu Rong Award Organizing Committee. It has been widely recognized by designers for many years. The competition toured around the country to hold sub races and finals, and promoted and popularized the lighting design and energy-saving concept among the national architectural and decorative designers, so as to perfectly integrate the light culture and design practice.

On the occasion of Grain Buds, 300 senior lighting industry professionals, designers and designers gathered at the Hangzhou Zhu Rong Award. A design exchange feast on "light" was officially kicked off in Hangzhou, where design celebrities shared innovative concepts and interacted with each other on the spot.

New upgrade of Zhu Rong Award
First appearance of new image
It is understood that the new image of Zhu Rong Award comes from the hair crown of Zhu Rong, the god of fire; The font adopts ancient Chinese font, which continues the connotation of inheriting Chinese traditional light culture; With diamond shaped space and gradual cursor, it conveys the sense of the future of the space, which indicates that Zhu Rong Award will embark on a new journey and pay more attention to training a new generation of lighting inheritors.

At the activity site of the "Zhu Rong Award", SANTAN lighting staffs and designers explained the design performance of lighting products in the scene and the expression of space atmosphere on the spot. In the concept exchange that attracted many designers to participate in the lighting application design of SANTAN products, SANTAN Lighting, as the activity support unit of the 13th "Zhu Rong Award Lighting Application Design Competition" of CBDA, looked forward to the continued brilliance of domestic lighting design on the international stage in the future.

On the day of the event, Mr. Zhang Yufeng, Secretary-general of China Building Decoration Association Electrical Branch , announced the official launch of the 13th Zhurong Award, and displayed a new image of the upgraded Zhu Rong Award.
The successful holding of Hangzhou competition area benefited from the strong support of Zhejiang Architectural Decoration Industry Association. As a co organizer, Ms. Jia Huaqin, President of Zhejiang Architectural Decoration Association, said that the Zhu Rong Award was a test of the designers' level in lighting design. She believed that architecture/interior designers could make the light culture more brilliant and wonderful, and spread the light culture further.

The "future master" is a new link added by the organizing committee of Zhu Rong Award in 2021, which aims to let more young lighting designers share their creativity and ideas. In this Hangzhou competition area, Ms. Fang Fang, Technical Director of Light Environment Institute of Zhejiang Architectural Design and Research Institute ,Director of the Third Design Institute, brought the case sharing of 《Peeping and Gazing - A Brief Analysis of the Indoor and Outdoor Lighting Cases of Yunzhou County》.
Taking the "Yunzhou County" project as an example, Ms. Fang Fang described the whole project process from the understanding of architectural design concept and the analysis of indoor and outdoor space in the early stage of the project to the discovery and solution of problems. She said that lighting is not just for lighting, but requires various forms of light, including the awakening of ideas.

Go to a new height in snooping and gazing

In order to find more excellent lighting inheritors, the 13th Zhu Rong Award also set up a new link, "Future Masters", to tap outstanding lighting designers with potential in the country, build more platforms and opportunities for them, and make their own design voice. The Zhu Rong Award hopes to give more support to "future masters" by planting kindling, and looks forward to bringing new changes and new development to the lighting industry in the future.

The design team comes on stage again to compete for the strongest team

Four teams from the Hangzhou competition area came to the stage to fight. They were the Gongda team composed of Mr. Lu Weidong, Cheng Anyi, Wang Jiajun, and Yang Jingwu, the Hanjia team composed of Mr. Qiu Heng, Mr. Gao Kan, Mr. Guo Kaiqian, and Mr. Zhao Yang, the Chengfengpolang team composed of Mr. Ji Min, Mr. Xu Fasheng, Mr. Cheng Huafeng, and Xu Li, and the Guchen team composed of Hu Wuhao, Chen Chunxue, Zhang Junye, and Chen Hao. In the end, the Hanjia team won successfully and obtained the "pass" to participate in the final match of the lighting contest.
In the future, design needs different voices and requires intelligent collision and thinking. The "Zhu Rong Award" photo application design competition has enabled more and more outstanding young designers to emerge in China, promoting the progress of China's cutting-edge design trend. The "Zhu Rong Award" is a dance platform for self display. It aims to enable more young designers with strength to share forward-looking design works and pass on innovative ideas belonging to the future.
