"Light Building Plan: Design Empowerment ! From September 21st to 22nd, 2024, the Jinjiang SANTAN store invited Mr. Zheng Qiuwei, a German DIAL Global Certified Instructor and Senior Lighting Designer, to jointly hold a smart lighting sharing session. This event gathered a multitude of interior designers, lighting designers, and industry enthusiasts to explore the essence of lighting design. The two-day Jinjiang SANTAN Lighting Salon with Mr. Zheng Qiuwei was a resounding success!

At the beginning of the sharing session, Mr. Zheng Qiuwei first sorted out and answered the questions that designers are generally concerned about. Designers are generally concerned with how to create a light environment that not only meets functional needs but also has artistic appeal through lighting design. Especially in terms of how to balance natural light with artificial light, how to use light color and shadows to create a sense of hierarchy, and how to choose the right lighting fixtures in spaces of different styles.

To more intuitively illustrate the practical application of lighting design, Mr. Zheng Qiuwei used classic cases to detail how to create spatial atmospheres through lighting design.

Mr. Zheng Qiuwei also explained in a simple and profound way several basic parameters in lighting design: color rendering, color temperature, illuminance, and brightness. He emphasized the importance of these parameters in creating a spatial atmosphere. He mentioned that high color rendering light can truly restore the colors of objects and enhance the texture of the space; a reasonable choice of color temperature can directly affect people's psychological feelings, such as warm color temperature creating a cozy atmosphere, while cool color temperature brings a fresh and bright feeling. The control of illuminance and brightness is key to ensuring that the lighting effects in the space meet visual needs.

At the sharing session, Mr. Zheng Qiuwei summarized 10 core principles of lighting design, including functionality first, energy conservation and environmental protection, safety and comfort, overall coordination, emphasis on key points, variation of light and shadow, emotional expression, innovation and personalization, ease of maintenance, and intelligent control. These principles provide designers with a systematic framework for thinking, helping them to better grasp the essence of lighting design.

When discussing lighting design and commercial store lighting cases, Mr. Zheng Qiuwei demonstrated his unique design philosophy and practical examples. For instance, by concealing light sources and using reflective surfaces such as walls and ceilings for indirect lighting, he not only achieved uniform illumination in the space but also created a soft and warm atmosphere. In the case of commercial store lighting design, Mr. Zheng shared how precise color matching of light, lighting layout, and intelligent control systems can enhance product display, attract customer attention, and promote sales.

At the same time, Mr. Zheng Qiuwei looked forward to the application prospects of smart lighting at the sharing session. The session was rich in content, not only answering the doubts of interior designers but also opening up new horizons in lighting design for everyone.

With the continuous exploration and deepening of the relationship between light and space, we believe that future spatial design will be more creative and artistically charming.
