The ninth station of the 2021CBDA 13th "Zhu Rong Award" Lighting Application Design Competition entered Guangzhou and was held in the F Hall of the Grand Ballroom on the third floor of Langham Place Guangzhou (No. 638, Xingang East Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou) on July 28, 2021.

Design feast of light

 

This is a design forum feast of light. The Zhu Rong Award has set up special links such as "appointment with masters", "lecture hall for masters of light environment", "future masters" and "lighting competition", bringing together more than 300 domestic well-known interior designers/lighting designers to participate in the current trend and case sharing of lighting design applications.

At the forum site of Guangzhou Station, through different forms of interaction, we deeply analyzed the use of "lights" in space. This topic includes 《Color and Shape -- Space and Light in the Atrium of Shopping Center》, discussion on the theme light environment of modern shopping center, 《Progressive Mode of Light》 lighting design process,《Interior Space Lighting Design Application》, etc., to promote more possibilities of interior design and lighting design, and jointly create excellent design works.

In this link,Mr. Zeng Guozhi, the design director of Guangzhou Ice Candle Lighting Design Co., Ltd., Mr. Long Zhixiong, the general manager of Guangzhou Dragon Style Design Co.,Ltd, Ms. Chen Liying, the creative director of Guangzhou COPAi Lighting Engineering Design Co., Ltd., Mr.Gao Quanbao, the design director of Guangdong Ruipai Light Environmental Design Institute Co., Ltd., and four consultants led their teams to compete for lighting knowledge.

After a fierce competition in the lighting contest in Guangzhou, the Ice Candle Team and the Pinlong Team entered the second round of the contest. The scores of both sides were very close. Finally, the Pinglong Team came from behind, successfully completed the counter attack, and won the first place in Guangzhou. Next, they will participate in the final contest of the national finals together with the shortlisted teams in other contest areas.

Future master group

For more excellent lighting heritage, the 13th Zhu Rong Award also set up a new link, "Future Masters", to tap outstanding lighting designers with potential in the country, build more platforms and opportunities for designers, and give voice to domestic design.

The Zhu Rong Award hopes to give more support to "future masters" by planting kindling, and looks forward to bringing new changes and new development to the lighting industry in the future.

Appointment with the Master

Mr. Huang Chifeng,Chief Designer of J2, said that design requires the collision of thinking and wisdom. This topic is mainly to discuss how to jointly solve the pain points of space lighting, promote the integration of lighting design and interior design, and interpret the new lighting challenges brought by the entry of art installation art into the shopping center. The theme of 《Color and Form - Space and Light in the Atrium of the Shopping Center》is the light environment of modern shopping center.

Mr. Shi Hengzhao, General Manager/Design Director of Zhaoyiheng Lighting Design (Beijing) Co., Ltd., said that in the process of lighting design, there are often many problems due to building environment and other factors. This in-depth interpretation of the special topic "Progression of Light" and "Interior Space Lighting Design Standards for Building Decoration" will further promote the development of standardization and professionalism in the application of interior space lighting design.

Mr. Li Shenghui, Design Director/Partner of Guangzhou Yuanse Lighting Design Co., Ltd., explained the importance of design process control, a complete set of design processes, demonstrated the skills of lighting layout through high-end commercial lighting cases, and how to make light more valuable for space.

Zhu Rong Award has been held since 2009.
